Alberta Culture Days is just around the corner so make sure to mark your calendars! This annual, three-day celebration of local art, heritage and multiculturalism, which runs September 26-28, is chalk-full of fun and exciting things to do and see. And it all kicks off with a free concert and block party along 104 Street and Jasper Ave!

On Friday, September 26, 104 Street becomes the cultural hub with exciting acts like , Wool on Wolves Oscar Lopez, Michael Rault, and Nuela Charles. Blue Plate Diner, Kelly’s Pub, Tzin and Cavern will be extending their patios for this special event.

So come and unwind on one of the patios and take in some great music. You can also do a bit of shopping at the street market, which will be set up along the promenade, or test your creativity by participating in an art workshop. As well, there will be street performers, children’s activities, and much more! Everything gets underway at 5 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.

But the fun doesn’t end there! There are literally thousands of free, family-friendly events running throughout the weekend of September 26 – 28. From rock concerts, dance demonstrations and backstage tours; to historic exhibits, film screenings, culinary workshops and everything in between – there’s something for everyone during Alberta Culture Days.
