104th Street Welcomes You to a New Summer Event

Al Fresco on 4th presents new and exciting programming in support of downtown businesses

The 104 Street Action Committee is pleased to announce Al Fresco on 4th, a new outdoor event taking place on 4th Street Promenade in support of our local downtown businesses and their economic recovery from COVID-19. Al Fresco on 4th will include extended summer patios at our many locally-owned restaurants and food trucks — providing that unique and special open-air dining experience that has become a staple of Edmonton summers. Patrons can relax and enjoy their meal adjacent to a curated vendor market, business activations and community programming: all family and pet friendly. “The Downtown Edmonton Community League (DECL) is pleased to see new programming on 104 Street, especially in support of our local businesses,” says DECL President and 104 Street Action Committee Representative, Chris Buyze. “We believe this event presents a unique offering complementary to other activities, contributing to the vibrancy of our shared downtown.” With COVID-19 still, a concern, consistent and continual evaluation of safety procedures remains the top priority in order to safeguard the health of patrons, staff and vendors. Current safety precautions include physical distancing, enhanced cleaning and line management.

Weekly updates on health and safety procedures will be published on our website. When: Saturdays between July 18th–September 19th, 11AM–4PM (under modified operations). Al Fresco on 4th is a collaboration with the 104 Street Action Committee, 104 Street Businesses, the Downtown Business Association, Downtown Community League and identified Stakeholders. Wild Heart Collective has been brought on board to launch this activation.
