Fine Menswear Finds a New Home at the Helm

With the opening of The Helm, Edmonton’s fashion conscious men can now find clothes that express their individuality on the 104st promenade.
Located on the north end of the street in the historic Armstrong building, this upscale boutique offers the best in business attire, weekend wear and made-to-measure. The owners Chad Helm and Brad Kahler travelled through Europe, hand-selecting collections of ready-to-wear clothing with their customer’s individual expression in mind. They’ve also provided a platform for truly custom fashion by forming relationships with the best made-to-measure houses in the industry.

They chose the 104st location because of its urban vibe, sense of community and eclectic mix of upscale shops. The spacious, light filled showroom has a New York loft feel – exposed brick, raw steel, polished woods and sparkling glass providing the backdrop for The Helm’s exclusive collections. Clients can even watch their purchases get the final touches in the open concept tailor shop – a first for the Edmonton menswear scene.
With expert tailoring, personal shopping, after hours appointments, in-home wardrobe consultations, and private fashion events, The Helm is about more than just clothing – it’s a junction of style, character, and service offered by two friends with a passion for helping Edmonton’s men look their very best.
