Street Closure

Street Closure

Dear 104 Street Residents:

The Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Culture, it partnership with the 104 Street Business Association, will be using 104 street (similar to Al Fresco) as a venue for an Alberta Culture Days 2012 kick-off event. The event will occur on Friday, September 28, 2012 from approximately 4:30 to 9:30pm, with street closure starting at approximately 7:30am.

I encourage you to come down and experience some of the great programming we have planned for this event, including performances by Shout Out Out Out Out, Mad Bomber Society, Politic Live and DJ Beat Burglar, as well as visual art demonstrations, vendors and more.

Alberta Culture Days began in 2008 as Alberta Arts Days, a one-day event to recognize the value of Alberta’s arts and cultural communities. Since then, it has expanded into a three-day, province-wide event that showcases the province’s arts, multicultural, heritage, nonprofit/voluntary organizations, creative industries and individual artists, while encouraging all Albertans to discover the important contributions of culture to a prosperous, vibrant society.
